MAC launches call for evidence

The Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) has launched a call for evidence in relation to a commission from the Government, asking the MAC to undertake a review of the impact of ending the employment restrictions on nationals of Bulgaria and Romania on the agriculture and food processing sectors.

Ahead of the summer surge in student visa applications, UK Border Agency officers will be given new powers to interview international students and refuse visas if they are not satisfied the applicant is genuine, the Immigration Minister Damian Green has announced.
