  • Practice:

    Thomas’s practice encompasses a wide variety of both business and personal immigration matters.

    On the business side, Thomas advises and assists at every stage in relation to the sponsored work routes, including sponsor licence applications, CoS allocation, visa applications for the Skilled Worker and Global Business Mobility routes (amongst others), and compliance matters including suspension and revocation of licences. He also has significant experience in relation to the non-sponsored work routes, including Innovator Founder, Entrepreneur, Representative of an Overseas Business and Global Talent.

    Thomas also has a strong interest in personal immigration and nationality matters, including the partner and family routes, visit visas, the EU Settlement Scheme, human rights and asylum claims, and naturalisation and registration as a citizen. He has experience in challenging refusals across a variety of routes by means of appeal, judicial review and administrative review.

  • Experience:

    During his studies, Thomas volunteered with the School Exclusion Project, representing parents challenging permanent exclusion decisions, and Advocate, the official pro bono organisation of the Bar.

    Before studying law, Thomas worked as a learning support assistant in a secondary school, teaching English as an additional language and helping children with learning difficulties. It was through working with children from a variety of migrant backgrounds, including a number of unaccompanied young refugees, that Thomas first developed an interest in immigration law.
